The incline is on the north hill of Brown Clee, most of it is now a road running up to the transmitters on the top but there are some remains at the top. The quarry was used to mine roadstone and the incline was a rope hauled counterbalanced type.
This was used to transport coal from the mine here but was only briefly used, before the mine closed. Roadstone was also mined here later on and the incline used to transport stone in its second life.
