During an investigation into the sites of the five Tysoe horses in the late 1960's aerial photographs of tree growth indicated the possibility of four figures on the south part of Sunrising Hill, where Spring Hill curved back into a bowl-shaped inlet in the escarpment. Further studies of the soil were carried out and this seemed to confirm the existence of these figures.
There is a great deal of sceptisim as to the existence of these figures, which is largely due to the lack of literary evidence.
