Combe Martin Badge

History

Built for a flowers in bloom competition sometime in the early 1970's by the parish council. It is constructed of concrete on Lester Cliff just above the bay and originally the stripes were planted with flowers although this has not been carried out recently. It depicts the crest of Martin of Tours who's decendants are believed to have founded Combe Martin. It is 16' wide and 32' high.
